Capt. Magee joined the department in 2001 & had held several ranks. The 13-year veteran of the department died Oct. 27, 2014, after falling ill while participating in a training course in Socorro, N.M. At the time of his death, he was stationed with one of the department’s Special Operations Unit, Squad 7.
